Spring Break is a time to relax, a time to unwind from the daily grind of everyday
life. While sleeping in is one of the best things about it, here are some things I did
during my week off from school:
1). Went out shopping to Target & dined at Fuddruckers
with my ladyfriend
2). Spent the day with my best friend at Sun Valley Mall
and checked the new store, FYE
3). Helped mom with housework by mowing the lawn,
watered my plant, and returned my bags of cans at the
recycling place for cash.
4). Went out for lunch at Jack's in Pleasant Hill.
5). Go out to the movies with my Dad
What I did over the Labor Day weekend was going out with Courtney to The
Habit Burger Grill with her.
Me & Nick went out to Round 1, an arcade/ bowling alley in Sun Valley Mall.
Among the arcades, it includes pool tables and even karaoke rooms. I had fun looking
at all the different games including Mario Kart, DDR & arcade versions of mobile
games. Although I didn't eat a thing there, I hope to come back with my family
when my birthday rolls around.
This is what took place during my summer break;
After having our bathroom remodeled, my family & I took a week long trip to Bodega Bay.
On the way there, an accident occurred and we got stuck in traffic for 45 minutes. Once
we started moving again, I was so relieved.
My family & I stayed in a cottage. While there we went down to the beach & went out
to eat at Lucas Wharf. We watched people go out to surf and some were fishing.
There was even a comic book shop I wanted to go to, but upon heading down there
it was closed (only open on weekends). So I was a bit bummed out.
We had planned going down to Monterey Fisherman's Wharf but due to the
wildfires in the area (Soberanes), we couldn't make the trip down there.
The following week, I went out to the movies & saw the new Suicide Squad film
(for review, see below). Me & my friend Nick went to Target & ate at In-n-Out across
the street.
These are my three favorite places that I've been to
1. Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk
Since me and my parents got there early, my mom bought me a wristband for me to
wear so I wouldn't have to give the ride operator my ticket. I got to go on many of the rides
there including the Haunted Castle, the Giant Dipper (my fave), The Tidal Wave that goes
fast forward, stops and goes backward, and the log ride. By the time I got home, I was
so tired from having so much fun.
2. California Academy of Sciences
I always wanted to go here since I was little, my parents purchased tickets ahead of time.
My dad almost got lost finding it driving around Golden Gate Park for 20 minutes.
Luckily, we were able to find it. The long lines of school kids didn't detract me from
enjoying it. Once inside, I was awe of how big it was. One of the first things we did was
get in line to watch an IMAX short about earthquakes. The earthquake simulator was
pretty fun as well. I enjoyed walking through an artificial rainforest as well as the huge
aquarium downstairs.
3. Levi's Stadium
Being the huge 49ers fan that I am, my mom told me there was a museum inside the
stadium dedicated to all 49ers memorabilia. When we got there, my excitement was
at an all time high. As we walked in through the doors, there were life-size statues of
the players themselves. I got my picture taken with players I watched when I was a
little boy such as Joe Montana, Steve Young & Jerry Rice. Seeing the Super Bowl
trophies up close were the icing on the cake.
If money was no object, here are the top 5 places I'd go:
1. Ireland; retrace my family ancestry and learns about the customs
2. New York City; go to Times Square and ride the coasters at Coney
Island
3. Washington D.C.; tour the White House and visit lots of museums
4. England; visit Big Ben and some zoos as well
5. Seattle WA; go see the Space Needle and the EMP (scifi museum)
Ireland Coast
While I had a week off from school, I did a few things. I went out to eat at Fuddruckers
and shopping with Courtney, I got my haircut, walked around downtown Pleasant Hill
with my best friend Nick.
We went to several stores including Cold Stone Creamery, got a sandwich at Togo's
while Nick ate a 5 Guys & Burgers. There wasn't much else to do there except walk
around.
