20th Century Fox & Comic Con

20th Century Fox has announced it will not be at Comic Con this summer for the
fear of people pirating unfinished footage for their upcoming tentpole movies.

My opinion on this:  Why even show the footage in the first place if they know
the people there will be recording it ? Comic con is terribly overcrowded and
expensive in itself for the those that can't afford to go. By leaking it out to the
masses, it creates hype and gets people talking about it. Isn't that what the studios
 want?
I understand that by releasing it at these conventions, it gives fans an incentive
to go. I'd rather watch it online than having to stand in line for several hours just
to get in. Besides, who would want to deal with cosplayers, people dressed as
their favorite Star Wars or video game character?
It'd be nice if they would stream it live online for those that cannot attend.
Disney pulled out a couple years ago and now have their own convention called
D23, where they show their upcoming big movies.
If other studios follow suit, it may be the end for showing early footage there
and return to the early days before the studios got involved.

Be Someone for a day

If I had to switch places with someone for a day, it would be Orlando Bloom. He is dating
my favorite pop singer/crush Katy Perry. If I was him for a day, I'd spend it holding hands,
cuddling, and make out with her. I'd tell Katy that she is the most beautiful woman ever.

My Favorite Candy

My favorite candy is Skittles because they taste delicious and come in many
  flavors.

Go Green / Recycling

On Thursday afternoon, we have Go Green/Recycling Class with Melissa.
In this class, I learned how to recycle differently. I like this class because
it makes me be more aware of our environment and what I can do to help
out as it is slowly being destroyed by pollution.

13 Going 30

                                      13 Going on 30
Cast: Jennifer Garner, Mark Ruffalo, Andy Serkis, Judy Greer

Today in Melissa's film forum class, we watch the ending to a comedy called 13 Going
on 30. It's a romantic comedy starring Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo. It is about a
13 year old girl in the 80's who wishes she was older until the next day, she wakes up
17 years later as a 30 year old
She tries dealing with the responsibilities while being 30 and tries to reconnect with
her platonic friend Matt (Mark Ruffalo). Things become to get complicated while as a
photo editor for a fashion magazine. Once Matt tells her his feelings for her, she begins
falling for him. It has a good ending. Perfect for a date night in or girls slumber party.

BvS : Dawn of Justice

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice

                                     Dir: Zack Snyder
Cast: Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Jesse
    Eisenberg, Gal Gadot

This is my review of the highly anticipated movie in the DC Cinematic
Universe taking place immediately after the events in Man of Steel.

Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) arrives in Metropolis for unknown reasons, just
in time to witness the destruction of the city between Superman and his nemesis
Zod. Its citizens turn against Superman (Henry Cavill) and perceive him as
an alien threat to Earth.

Meanwhile we are introduced to Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg), a wealthy
young man with Daddy issues. He becomes paranoid of Superman and takes
drastic actions to have Batman battle Superman.

I thought this movie was too dark and depressing. I was disappointed with
the pacing and tone of the movie. The killing of a certain character in the Superman
lore early on was pointless and unnecessary. I felt like this movie was tried too
hard to shoehorn characters for the plots sake. It's a muddled mess of a film that
 tried to take itself serious.
Jesse's Lex character came across as too nerdy and unlikable. Wonder Woman's
inclusion became the better half of this movie.
Overall, it wasn't the worst comic book ever, just the worst of the past several
years. I wanted to like like this movie but couldn't.

My Spring Break

While I had a week off from school, I did a few things. I went out to eat at Fuddruckers
and shopping with Courtney, I got my haircut, walked around downtown Pleasant Hill
with my best friend Nick.
We went to several stores including Cold Stone Creamery, got a sandwich at Togo's
while Nick ate a 5 Guys & Burgers. There wasn't much else to do there except walk
around.
