       Fighting with my Family isn't just a movie about wrestling. It's message conveys the 
   importance of sticking to one's dreams and never giving up. 
        Newcomer Florence Pugh stars as real life WWE wrestler Paige, a young woman 
   who follows her dreams to become a professional wrestler. Veteran actors Heady 
   (Game of Thrones) and Frost (Hot Fuzz) star as her parents who encourage her 
   to keep going despite facing many adversities. 
         After growing up in a family of wrestlers, Paige wants to be just like her idol,
   The Rock (D. Johnson). She starts out wrestling in her family's wrestling ring in 
   England and tries out for the WWE.
         She flies out to the United States to WWE's version of boot camp and begins 
   to realize that wrestling is harder than it looks. Despite almost giving up, she 
   gets words of encouragement from her trainer (Vaughn) and just wants to make 
   her and her family proud. 
          FwmF may not winning any awards but it's good movie for someone looking
   to be inspired.

 Grade: B+

        When the first X-Men movie was released seventeen years ago, Hugh Jackman 
 became a star and household name. It ushered in an era of superhero movies and 
 changed the landscape of the summer blockbuster. In Jackman's final and most 
 famous role as Wolverine, he finds himself tending to his mentor Professor X 
 (Patrick Stewart) whom he must hide from society. 

        Along the way, he takes in Laura (Dafne Keen), a genetically engineered little 
 girl with powers just like Logan's. Together they go on the run from an sinister 
 corporation rounding up mutants from experimentation purposes. Little Laura 
 spends most of the movie as mute and unleashes her inner monster when threatened.

        

       The serious tone in this movie makes you forget that it's a comic book movie. It

 touches on one's mortality when mutants have died out. Logan's body is also dying 

 and must need injections to keep him healthy.

      Although the movie was pretty violent in nature, it is deserving of it's R rating.

 It is a well acted movie with likable characters that you can relate to. It is not only 
 only one of the most gritty superhero movies, it's also one of the best. Despite the 
 slow pacing of the film, Jackman's run as the Wolverine ends off an a high note.

                                             Grade: A (9/10)

10 Valentine's Day Movies

Well it's Valentine's Day. A day where couples celebrate love between one another. 

It's also a day for lonely people wishing that they had someone in their lives.

Here are some romantic movies for people who are in love and those that are not.

1. Sleepless in Seattle (1993); Nora Ephron's classic about long distance relationships

starring Tom Hanks & Meg Ryan.

2. Her (2013); Joaquin Phoenix stars as a lonely man who falls for an AI voiced

by Scarlett Johansson.

3. When Harry Met Sally (1988); Rob Reiner's classic about platonic friendships

starring Billy Crystal & Meg Ryan.

4. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004); Michel Gondry's classic about

trying to forget about someone; stars Jim Carrey & Kate Winslet

5. The Silver Linings Playbook (2012); a bipolar man befriends & hooks
up with depressed young woman (Jennifer Lawrence).

6. While You Were Sleeping (1992); a train booth attendant saves a man and

pretends to be his girlfriend while he's comatose; stars Sandra Bullock.

7. 500 Days of Summer; an indie comedy about a young man (Joseph G. Levitt) 
trying to win over a beautiful young woman (Zooey Deschannel).

8. Scott Pilgrim vs the World; a teenage boy tries to win the heart of a teenage girl
by fighting her seven evil ex boyfriends,  complete with video game sounds;
stars Michael Cera & Mary Elizabeth Winstead

9. La La Land (2016); a musical about a jazz pianist (Ryan Gosling) falls
for an aspiring actress (Emma Stone).

10. Warm Bodies (2013); horror/action/rom-com: zombie boy begins to turn human
while falling for human girl whose father wants him dead.

Walter Mitty

 The Secret Life of Walter Mitty

     It's not everyday you come across a movie that you can personally relate to. The 

  Secret Life of Walter Mitty is one of them.

     

     Ben Stiller stars as the title character, a guy whose daydreams help him escape the

 boring and mundane life as a photo editor, all the while trying to win over the new

 girl at work (Wiig). Until one day, he gets an assignment that changes his life and
 makes his dreams a reality. This remake is a stark contrast to the 1947 version that
 starred the late Danny Kaye. 

    I can relate to Walter due to the fact that I am very introverted in social settings

  and find it hard to talk to people. Like Walter going off and exploring the world,

  I want to come out of my shell and be more outgoing.

    This movie may not be well liked but that's because they don't see it from an 

 introverts prospective. The best scenes was when his fantasy had him jumping 

 off a platform & rescuing the new girls dog in her apartment before it exploded.

    I had the opportunity to see this or Frozen with my class and definitely made

  the wrong decision. This is a really good movie.
